The 2019-2020 Bushfires and the 2022-2023 River Murray Flood event were significant disaster recovery events in South Australia, requiring state-led recovery governance and coordination arrangements.

The State Government worked closely with the communities impacted by these events, as well as key recovery partners including the Commonwealth Government, impacted councils, and non-government organisations to design and implement these recovery programs.
